Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi could replace Christian Pulisic or Hakim Ziyech in January, believes journalist Simon Phillips.
The 21-year-old is currently on loan at Bayer Leverkusen, but Phillips can see him returning to Stamford Bridge in the winter transfer window, while Pulisic or Ziyech head in the opposite direction.

The same outlet states that manager Graham Potter and co-owner Todd Boehly are both big fans of the player and could bring him back into the fold in January thanks to a clause in his loan deal.
While it is still early days, Hudson-Odoi’s time in Germany is proving to be fruitful, with the £120,000-a-week youngster getting regular game time.
Under Gerardo Seoane, he has made two starts in the Bundesliga and two in the Champions League.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the journalist said: “It’s a tough one because his loan is going well. He’s getting games there and that’s the most important thing. We need him to develop and gain his confidence and his form back.
“But if he continues to do that until January and then say, for example, Chelsea decide to sell Pulisic or Ziyech or both of them even, then I can definitely see Potter going to Callum and saying, ‘Look, we need you back.’ And I think as long as he can guarantee Callum some regular game time, he’d be ok to come back.”

Should Chelsea recall Hudson-Odoi in January? It would make a lot of sense should Pulisic or Ziyech depart, which seems more than possible.
Both players, of course, were heavily linked with moves away from Stamford Bridge during the summer transfer window.
According to The Athletic, Manchester United were one club who were interested in signing Pulisic. Elsewhere, the MailOnline reported that Ajax explored bringing Ziyech back to the Netherlands.
If they cannot break into Potter’s starting XI, it would not be a shock to see them push for moves in January.
And if that happens, recalling Hudson-Odoi for free instead of forking out millions on a new winger could be a smart piece of business.
